Just finished reading “KaChing”. First impression, decent book – definitely good for the beginner affiliate marketer / online business. Though I was familiar with a lot of the material, having read several other affiliate marketing titles, I did find a good amount of useful content. So I do think this book is useful even for the experienced affiliate, since it is always good to refine our strategies and consider new ideas.
The book covers the basics quick and to the point. Including what online business is about, what to expect and some of the options to monetizing your site with pluses/minuses. It was good to read about the differences between some of the ad networks such as Google vs. Yahoo vs. Microsoft, etc.
I really like the fact that if focuses on what really matters right away – content! It describes a number of different content types and I believe this is key for a new affiliate – to understand what you need to do.
Then it expands in to products, affiliate programs and membership sites. It explains coaching programs and other ways to further your affiliate learning. Finally, the case studies chapter is a really good read – most books simply cover the concepts of online business, but this chapter really drives home some actual examples of what these online businesses might look like.
Good read!
